Editorial Standards

industrialcorp.org publishes listings of industrial-sector events, training, and professional resources. This page explains how we source information, how we verify it, how we correct errors, and where automation is used in our process. These standards apply to every listing and page on the site.

Accuracy Commitments

• We publish only information we can trace to an identifiable source, in almost all cases the event organizer's own published listing or website.
• Dates, times, locations, and registration details are reproduced as stated by the organizer at the time we processed the listing. When an organizer changes these details, we update our listing as soon as the change is detected or reported.
• We do not invent, estimate, or embellish details that the source does not state. If a detail (such as price, capacity, or speaker lineup) is not confirmed, we omit it rather than guess.
• We do not publish attendance figures, rankings, or performance claims that we cannot verify.
• Where our summary condenses an organizer's description, we aim to preserve its meaning. The original listing remains the authoritative source.

Provenance and Original Listings

Every event page links to the original listing on the organizer's own site or ticketing platform. This link is the canonical source for that event.

• We identify the organizer or host wherever the source makes this available.
• We record the date a listing was added and the date it was last updated.
• If we cannot locate or retain a working link to an original source, the listing is either flagged as unverified or removed.

Readers should treat the organizer's original listing as authoritative for registration, pricing, and any last-minute changes.

Verification Labels

Listings carry a label reflecting the level of review they have received:

• Verified — A human editor has confirmed the core details (organizer, date, location, registration link) against the original source.
• Source-confirmed — Details were ingested directly from the organizer's published listing and passed automated consistency checks, but have not yet had individual human review.
• Unverified — The listing could not be matched to a live original source, or details conflict between sources. Unverified listings are queued for review and are removed if verification fails.

A label reflects status at the time of last review. If you believe a label is wrong, use the corrections process below.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly and transparently.

How to report: Email corrections@industrialcorp.org with the URL of the affected page, the detail you believe is wrong, and, where possible, a link to the correct source information. Organizers reporting changes to their own events should identify themselves as the organizer.

What to expect:

• We acknowledge correction reports within 2 business days.
• Confirmed factual errors (wrong date, location, link, organizer, or price) are corrected within 2 business days of confirmation; time-sensitive errors, such as an event happening within the week, are prioritized.
• Material corrections are noted on the affected page with the date of the change. Minor fixes such as typos are made without annotation.
• If we cannot confirm a reported error, we will say so and explain what source we relied on.

We do not remove accurate information solely because a party finds it unfavorable, but we will always correct what is wrong.

What Gets Removed

We remove listings and content when:

• The event has been cancelled by the organizer, or the original listing has been withdrawn and no replacement source exists.
• We cannot verify the event's existence against any identifiable source.
• The listing is a duplicate of another listing on the site (the canonical version is kept).
• The organizer of an event makes a reasonable request for removal of their own listing.
• The content is misleading, deceptive, or promotes a fraudulent or nonexistent event.
• A legal obligation requires removal.

Past events may be archived rather than deleted, clearly dated so they cannot be mistaken for upcoming events.

AI Assistance Disclosure

Parts of our pipeline are automated, and we believe readers are entitled to know which parts.

What is automated: Data processing is automated. This includes collecting event listings from public sources, extracting structured details (dates, locations, links), deduplicating listings, formatting pages, and running consistency checks. Automated tools, including AI systems, may also draft listing summaries from the organizer's original description.

Standards for human oversight:

• Humans set and review the rules the automated pipeline follows, including which sources are used and how details are extracted.
• No listing is labeled Verified without human review of its core details.
• Correction reports are reviewed and resolved by a person, not an automated system.
• Automated output that fails consistency checks is held for human review rather than published.
• We audit samples of automatically processed listings on an ongoing basis and adjust the pipeline when errors are found.

Automation lets us cover more events; it does not lower the standard a listing must meet. Responsibility for everything published on industrialcorp.org rests with the people who operate the site, not with the tools used to produce it.
