About IEC 61496-1 (Electro-Sensitive Protective Equipment)

IEC 61496-1 gives the general requirements for electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE): the functional, design and environmental requirements plus the type classification (Type 2/3/4) that determines which PL/SIL applications a device can serve.
